Staff of the Azure Orb is the second weapon of Amid Evil. It utilizes blue mana and is considered a part of the light arsenal.

Appearance[ | ]

It's a long wooden magical staff with a blue claw at the top that holds the Azure orb which gathers souls of the enemies.

Abilities[ | ]

The Staff shoots two water orbs every half of a second that target nearby enemies. When soul-powered it rapidly fires projectiles that will turn any living being into water upon overkill.

Summary[ | ]

Despite being the first ranged weapon Champion finds, SotAO stays useful for the entirety of the game. It's projectile deals twice the damage of one Voltride shot and the ability to target monsters comes in hand when fighting flying or hard-to-hit foes. Orbs can even hit enemies from around the corner if they fly close enough without the need to approach said enemy.
While the soul-powered version loses the homing ability it has proven to be efficient against a group of small and medium fiends and large enemy types, but because of increased speed it runs dry fast, so make sure you leave some extra mana pickups nearby before the encounter.
