Star of Torment is the sixth weapon of Amid Evil. It utilizes green mana and is considered a part of the heavy arsenal.

Appearance[ | ]
Star of Torment resembles a morning star mace with umber and black handle and white crystal at the end of it.
Abilities[ | ]
Star of Torment fires crystal shards that can easily nail small enemy types to any surface. When soul-powered the swinging rate of the Star speeds up and it launches the whole cluster that will fly at nearby monsters, kinda like the Staff's orbs. Upon contact the crystal will explode and release its numerous fragments that will hurt any poor fella who stood too close to it.

You know how Whisper's Edge can be compared to Doom's shotgun? Well, see the Star of Severe Physical and Mental Suffering as Dusk's Super shotgun of Amid Evil. It's very effective against foes at short range, especially small ones, and because of (almost) narrow spread its projectiles can still deal fine damage from farther distances. Be aware that it takes two green mana for a single shot and four when in soul mode, so it will run dry very quick if you are not careful.
Facts & trivia[ | ]
- Before The Black Labyrinth DLC update, if you were to let off LMB right as the projectile launches the swinging animation would reset and come back to idle state, that allowed the player to perform attacks faster. Basically it was a tapping tech.
- Crystal Masters wield Stars of Torment as well.
- This and the fact that their world is full of crystal caves and structures implies that Star of Torment is from the Arcane Expanse.
